the JEDEC, JESD97 lead free sy
mbology. NO Pb symbol 2LI,
meaning no lead (Pb) at the seco
nd (2nd) level interconne
ct, will be printed on
all ON Semiconductor
standard shipping labels. The ON Se
miconductor shipping verification
label will incorporate the lead
(Pb) free symbology a
nd text on July 15.
On July 15, 2005 ON Semi
conductor will be changing
the lead (Pb)
free desi
gnator for intermediate
container labels to
the JED
E
C, JESD
97 symbology, NO Pb
symbol 2LI. During
this change and for
some time after, the curren
t designator, Pb FREE PL
TG text, may still appear on
intermediate labels.
By July 2006 lead (Pb) f
ree categories will be added
to the suffix of NO (P
b) symbol 2LI. The
JESD97 categories of e1 through e7
state the type of in
terconnect plating.
The ON Semiconductor
shipping and intermed
iate container labels lead
(Pb) free plated
devices
will be NO Pb sym
bol 2LI
(e3) where the e3 may c
hange to an e1 through e7
category, depending
upon the device plating
scheme.
